Els and Sander have been living and working in Pedralba, in the Valencia region, since 2022. Spain had always felt familiar to us, but when we were together in Valencia and Sander said: “I could live here right away,” we knew for sure. Within two years, we had made the move — and we haven’t regretted it for a moment.

Els has had a great love for Spain since childhood. She previously lived in Madrid and went to school in Salamanca. The language, culture, gastronomy, and relaxed rhythm always felt like coming home. Sander felt the same way immediately in Valencia: the light, nature, space, and friendly people match who we are.

While we thoroughly enjoy the outdoor lifestyle here, we both still work with great pleasure. Els is a certified Spanish real estate agent and Brand Ambassador for the Spanish furniture brand Alexandra. Sander works as a business and marketing consultant for both Dutch and Spanish companies. Life here gives us exactly the balance we were looking for: space and tranquility to enjoy, and the opportunity to continue doing what we love.

We live together with our dogs Juan and Lemmy on a 1.2-hectare plot, where we happily rent out the independent guest house of Casa Pájaros.

Casa Pájaros, located 35 km from Valencia, offers a wonderful stay among the orange groves. The guest house is spaciously and comfortably furnished, with two large bedrooms with excellent beds, two bathrooms, a separate laundry room, a well-equipped kitchen, and a cozy living room with TV and fast internet.

Outside, you can enjoy plenty of space and privacy: a terrace overlooking the valley, a large private patio with dining table, an outdoor plunge pool and outdoor shower, an outdoor kitchen, a spacious garden, and a large swimming pool with an Ibiza-style lounge bed.
An ideal place to relax — and a perfect base for trips to Valencia and the beaches.

Dogs are welcome! Our own dogs are friendly, calm, and very social with other dogs. They don’t enter the guest house and won’t disturb your stay.

Around the house, you can immediately take beautiful walks through the fields and surrounding mountains. In the village, you can play tennis and padel, and if you really want to relax, we’ll gladly arrange for an excellent masseur to come to the house.
